![]() Knowing the map and memorizing choke points does.įactory also only really helps with pvp in close quarters combat. This isn't going to help them when the enemy has first shot advantage. In factory you can hear metal and concrete footsteps constantly. As nearly all other maps provide learning in something factory is well suited to train. ![]() Further more, just because "they run out and can't see the PMC" is an even greater reason to pick a different map. You are essentially throwing them to the wolves and draining their stash. They are usually buying it when a wipe has started. You cannot reasonably tell me factory has any distinct advantage over customs mid to late wipe, realistically players aren't buying tarkov at the start of every wipe. And close, mid, and long range engagement areas.įactory is labs junior. Looting areas that help train loot prioritization and memorization. It's a map with various different landscapes, multiple guaremteed extracts and (?) Extracts, Such as old gas station. My personal opinion is customs is the best map for beginners. I much rather would have just started by lightly focusing quests but focusing much more time into trying to improve at the pvp. I know running around on woods or customs trying to just survive or trying to do quests what plenty expensive and demoralizing to me when I was a new player. But new players, especially if they aren't starting on a fresh wipe, are going to get obliterated and lose gear and get demoralized regardless.įactory is the best map if your new and you want to get better, if you just want to play the game and do whatever else and you don't care much about it, then yeah you should probably focus on other maps.īut factory gives new players the ability to start figuring the game out in at least the combat sense, and the important part, without running around for 20 minutes on a map they don't know without really having much direction, and then just dying anyway. Tbh, I get where people are coming from when they say the negatives outweigh the positives. So I just got tired of camping and hiding and decided to actually get good at pvp. Ps: I am by no means good, just sharing something I noticed while ratting, I have about 60-65% survival rate in non contested areas, but most of the time I encounter another player I get killed. I am mentioning this as scopes are not that readily available early. Also it does not require scopes for most engagements like the larger maps where you are mostly doomed without a scope as you can't even see who is shooting you. This helps you improve your pvp skills as fast as possible without wasting time running. When you go there all you do is pvp and you don't waste time running around. So here is why factory is the best beginner map imo. New players just run and get killed, sometimes by not even seeing the pmc. However customs is a larger map with a lot of choke points and pvp. So this is my second wipe and I have tried out all maps, mostly customs as it gets recommended by everyone so I thought I would follow the guidance.
